Articles created for high-achieving women seeking to release the pressure
Hi there! I'm glad you stopped by. My name is Arianna Williams, LPC, LCPC, CCTP and this is my blog. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, Missouri, and Kansas, and for the past 14 years, I have been focused on forging a path in the mental health field. Having received my Master's in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling and now running my own Counseling and Coaching Practice I get to serve the population that matters the most to me. Women! More specifically, ambitious and high-achieving women!
A Blog Just For You
There is something uniquely special about high-achieving women, and I'm not just saying that because I am one. Often, people experience high-achieving women as individuals who can do everything and anything, as "great multi-taskers", and the go-to person in most situations. On the outside, this may seem pretty great for those who benefit from the behaviors of these women. But, here's the secret, most high-achieving women exhibit these behaviors due to core beliefs about over-achievement, and fears about how to get their needs met. Instead of asking for help or potentially making a mistake they minimize or dismiss their own needs and numb their emotions by being overly responsible, as it relates to their achievements and the needs of others. Pretty secretive right? Here's one more thing. These behaviors often start during the formative years. That's right. Childhood. *Dun. Dun. Dunnnnnnn!
Now, as a wife, fur-mom, daughter, sister, and friend, who just happens to be a therapist I understand how many of these challenges intersect with my varying roles. I write this blog not only as someone who has been educated on helping you, but also as someone who has been right where you are, and where you are going. I have done the work. I know how difficult it is to ask for help when I'm struggling. I know the thoughts that keep you up at night "Omgosh, why didn't I hold the door open for the lady" [twenty years ago] "I hope she doesn't hate me". I know that you worry about how you will be perceived if you are not or at least present like you are 100%, 24/7. I write this blog for the women who seek to improve coping skills, want to make themselves a priority, and most importantly want to release the pressure of high expectations.

Most importantly, you deserve the freedom of healing. You want this because you need this. I see you, girl.
